Don't Be Ashamed To Be A Christian

When people are proud of something they aren't shy about it or hide it. Think of being a sports fan. Do you leave your dodgers hat at home? Or leave your rams jersey in closet? No! You wear it proudly! We should be the same way as christians. Not being shy or ashamed, but being proud to believe in Jesus and know the good news. That our Savior is real, he loves us, and we need him in our life! When we are ashamed of him it hurts him too look at our verse for today:

“Whoever is ashamed of me and my words,

the Son of Man will be ashamed of them”

Luke 9:26

When we are ashamed of being a christian it's like being ashamed of knowing Jesus. Like we're trying to hide him. However we need to let his light shine in the dark place so that other people can know his love and kindness. People need to light of Jesus in their lives and we should shine bright with his love!

Peter walked with Jesus and he denied him 3 times! It hurt Jesus and Peter! They were so sad. We should learn from Peter not to deny Jesus.
