Visitor FAQ

We are so glad you’re visiting Angelus Temple! We know how difficult it can be to visit a new church and not have any direction so, to help make your visit better, we compiled this list of the most frequently asked questions a guest of ours might have.

  1. What are your service times?
We are one church with four services across two separate campuses. We meet in Los Angeles at the historic Angelus Temple Sundays at 9:30 & 11:30am and on Thursdays at 7pm. On Sundays we also have service in Long Beach at the Long Beach Dream Center at 12pm. For more information about parking or involvement in our Long Beach campus click here.
  2. Is there a place to park?
We have a 7-story parking structure adjacent to the church. You can enter the parking structure from Glendale Blvd. or Lemoyne St. We have reserved “first time visitor” parking spaces so when you arrive please turn on your hazard lights so that our parking attendants can direct you to our special visitor parking.
  3. When I arrive, is there anything special I need to do?
We ask that you please visit Guest Services in the Lobby. We would love to connect with you, help you find a seat, and just point out a few things that will help make your visit go smoothly. We know that you have many options as to where you could spend your Sunday morning and are honored that you would choose to spend your time with us.
  4. Do you have children’s programs (6 weeks-11 years old)?
We provide a safe, clean, and FUN environment for your children to grow and learn while you are in service. Each age group is in an environment that is catered to their unique stage of development. We actually believe that your kids will enjoy themselves so much that they’ll end up bringing YOU back to church! Your child’s safety is our highest priority and so we require each of our volunteers to undergo a background check prior to being involved.
  5. Can you accommodate my special needs child?
Our staff and volunteers are trained to be able to provide a safe and loving environment for your special needs child. We provide a class for special needs children on Sundays at our 11am service and at our Thursday mid-week service.
  6. Do you have a youth program (12-18 years old)?
The youth meet once a month at the Dream Center. Pastor Matthew is extremely high-energy and really likes to have all of the Jr. High and High School age students be an active part of the main services. Therefore, on Sundays and Thursdays all kids 12 years old and older join us in the main service.
  7. How should I dress?
Comfortably! Our congregation is incredibly diverse. We have businessmen in suits, homeless people from Skid Row, and everything in between. Our policy is “come as you are.”
  8. What can I expect?
Upon arrival our amazing volunteer teams will welcome you with a smile and help to show you around. Our services are very high-energy and fast-paced. Every service will include powerful worship, a testimony from one of our programs or outreaches, and a challenging, yet encouraging, message from our pastor.
  9. What is The Dream Center?
Great question! The Dream Center is an outreach and ministry center located less than a mile away from the Angelus Temple. We believe that as a church our number one mandate is to serve our community and do everything we can to meet their physical and spiritual needs. We do this through The Dream Center. Please visit The Dream Center page for the best information about The Dream Center.
